Thanks again to Touring-Ohio.com for providing us with the video. We visited the National Dachshund Races in Findlay over the weekend and had the film crew from Touring-Ohio.com shoot some video for us. The following is Saturday morning’s Dachshund Parade down S. Main Street in Findlay, Ohio:

The National Dachshund Races held this past Saturday and Sunday in Findlay, Ohio has one quite unique feature! The nice things about these races are the care taken to insure the safety of the doxies. You’ll note that the race track is extremely short. Dachshunds aren’t built for long distance running on hard concrete. Toni Gossard, the founder, made sure that everything that could be done was, to protect them.

Our Photo Format for viewing pictures from our previous races has changed from last year. Our hope is that this is not only easier for you to view, but also is faster to load and enjoy. Just click on this link to the National Dachshund Race Photo Area and Enjoy!

Once in the Gallery, you will see a folder labeled for each year. Just click on the folder you wish to view and flip through the pages. It works quite similar to a photo album you would have at home. If you see an image that you like in particular, just hit the button on the lower right of the image for an "enlarged view". Once the larger image comes up, you can right click your mouse in Windows™ and have the option to save the image, print the photo or e-mail it to a friend or family member. After this years event, we will post photos as soon as they are available.

If you attend the Oktoberfest and take a photo that you believe we would all enjoy, please let others see it by using our Contact The National Dachshund Race Form Mail which allows you to upload a photo for our review and if we like what we see, we will be more than happy to post it. The National Dachshund Race will be held on 2-days! Saturday Sept. 26, 2009 will be Race Day! Multiple events will be held on Sunday Sept. 27, 2009. There will be 14 events in all and the Champion of Champion Races for each group will be on Sunday! We also will be having cart races. As soon as we know this years location and exact schedules, we will have it posted here! --- We do not promote racing for profits, only for the thrill of excitement to watch your Doxie participate in challenging other Doxies --- Please enjoy yourself at all events you go to and make sure you & your Doxie stays safe!
